The Republican Party of Virginia would like to extend its deepest condolences on the passing of former Goochland County Supervisor and 5th District State Central Committee Representative Susan Lascolette.

First elected to the Goochland Board of Supervisors in 2011, Susan went on to serve three terms. She put her conservative principles into action on that body. During her tenure, the county became the smallest in the nation to have earned a AAA bond rating from all three rating agencies. And, that was achieved without an increase in the real estate tax rate.

Her commitment to the Republican Party was unwavering and steadfast. She was an active member of the Goochland Republican Committee and Past President of the Goochland Republican Women. She served as member of the State Central Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia from 2016 through this year, representing the 7th and 5th Districts during her ten years of service.

Susan will be remembered as a dedicated and devoted conservative activist, who worked tirelessly to make her county, commonwealth, and nation a better place.

The Republican Party of Virginia is grateful for Susan’s decades of service to our shared principles and values. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her and served with her.
