Happy 110th birthday to the National Park Service (NPS)! Enjoy a fee-free experience in all National Park Service sites today, including a personal favorite...Shenandoah National Park: a park that's 10/10. No notes. 💯

The Blue Ridge Mountains we call home are part of one of the oldest mountain ranges on Earth—over a billion years in the making. Long before the Appalachians rose, before the Atlantic Ocean even existed, these ancient rocks were already here.

Today, we’re honored to protect 200,000+ acres of that deep time—misty overlooks, cascading waterfalls, and more than 500 miles of hiking trails—so it stays wild for the next billion years too.

As the second National Park east of the Mississippi, Shenandoah shares 90 years of history with the NPS! To learn more about Shenandoah's 90-year history, visit https://www.nps.gov/shen/learn/historyculture/90-years-of-shenandoah.htm.

We understand that many of you are heading back to school, which means fall leaf-peeping season is just around the corner!

Before long, we’ll be welcoming the next wave of visitors heading to Shenandoah National Park to enjoy the spectacular fall colors.

Fun fact: About 101 miles of the Appalachian Trail runs through Shenandoah National Park - pick up a trail map from our website!

We can’t wait! 🍁

Native flowers provide important habitat and food sources for pollinators. We have a nice selection of native flower seed packets available that are perfect for pollinators to enjoy next season. 🌼
