☀️🐾 Hot weather is here, and our pets need a little extra care to stay safe.

As temperatures rise, please remember to provide your animals with plenty of fresh water, adequate shade, and a cool place to rest. Never leave pets unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes, and try to limit outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day.

Our pets depend on us to protect them from the dangers of extreme heat. A few simple precautions can prevent heat-related illnesses and save lives.

If you see an animal in distress due to the heat, please contact the Page County Sheriff's Office at 540-743-6571. This number can also be used for non-emergency after hours number.

Stay safe, stay cool, and help keep our four-legged friends healthy this summer. 🐶🐱🐴

SAY THANK YOU TO SHERIFF CUBBAGE 👇

Page County Sheriff Chad Cubbage is among a growing number of our state's top cops to say they won't comply with anti-2A efforts coming out of Richmond.

Sheriff, from all of us at VCDL, thank you for upholding your oath!

The Page County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest condolences to the Chesterfield County Police Department following the tragic loss of one of their K9s and the critical injuries sustained by two officers while responding to a call yesterday.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured officers and their families, the K9 handler, the members of the Chesterfield County Police Department, and the entire Chesterfield community during this difficult time.

We stand with CCPD and law enforcement agencies everywhere that have been impacted by these senseless acts of violence. We are grateful for the courage and sacrifice of those who serve and protect our communities each day.

Thank you, Commonwealth’s Attorney Chapman Good, for defending the Second Amendment and protecting the rights of “the people.” It is a pleasure serving the citizens of Page County with you.
