*** FROM THE DESK OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE ***

On May 5, 2026, Cpl. J. Jenkins with the Luray Police Department received information through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding suspected child sexual abuse material connected to an online account associated with Ricky L. Good.

During the investigation, Luray PD ICAC investigator identified material that had been determined to be consistent with child po*******hy. The investigation resulted in the issuance of six warrants for Virginia State Code 18.2-374.1:1 - Possession of Child Po*******hy.

Ricky L. Good, 70, of Luray, was located and arrested on May 19, 2026. The warrants were served without incident. At the time of this post, Good is being held without bond.

This case remains under investigation.

We would like to thank the Virginia State Police and Page County Sheriff's Office for their help in this investigation.

Luray Police Department is an active member of the Northern Virginia/DC Metro (NOVA/DC) Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), coordinated by the Virginia State Police. We request anyone with information regarding this case to contact Cpl. Jenkins at (540) 743-5343.

Happy National Police Week to some of our BFFs! Thank you for answering the tough calls, showing up when the community needs you, and most importantly tolerating us (as much as we tolerate you). We appreciate you more than you know and there's nothing we wouldn't run, search, document, or attach to a CAD for you. We hope your week has plenty of donuts, pizza, and low call volume. ๐Ÿ’™
