** Attention **

Hickory Hills Fire Protection District is very excited to announce we have received a new ISO rating of a “5” effective March 1st, 2024! This new ISO rating is a huge improvement for our fire department, especially since our staffing is 100% volunteer. Our firefighters and officers dedicated themselves to many hours of training and hard work to achieve this rating.

ISO evaluates the quality of public fire protection in more than 47,500 fire protection areas across the United States and assigns a grading from 1 to 10; the lower the number, the better. For additional information, see the attached link to the Oklahoma Insurance Department.

For residences in our fire protection district, we recommend you contact your home owners insurance company and inform them of this new rating. Hopefully, this new rating will help to reduce your homeowners insurance premium.

Please let us know if this information helps, as we are always interested in receiving feedback regarding the continued hard work and dedication of our firefighters and officers. If you’re interested in joining our department, we are accepting applications for volunteers so please don’t hesitate to contact us!

As a side note - when you can, please take the time to thank your volunteer firefighters - they dedicate many hours of their lives away from jobs, hobbies, friends, family, etc to save community property and lives.
