Our office was notified of a two-alarm fire that broke out around 11:30 a.m. at a small business in the 12000 block of Long Green Pike in Glen Arm.

Thankfully, everyone was safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.

A big thank you to all of our firefighters and first responders who quickly took action to battle the fire and keep everyone safe.

What an incredible experience today at Circle R Arena!

Great job by Farmer Tom and his daughter Paige, and their entire team for putting on a great barrel racing event. It was impressive watching so many brave and talented riders, young and old, compete and showcase their skills.

Yesterday, I had the honor of meeting 7th grader Natalia. I went to hear about her service project helping those in need with the Parkton American Legion, but quickly learned there is so much more to this impressive young lady.

She is already learning aviation, hopes to serve in the military, dreams of attending the U.S. Naval Academy, and plays three sports at NDP.

Thank you, Natalia, for giving back to our community. You have a very bright future ahead!
