Missing Child Alert!! Please Share!! Please be on the lookout for a 10-year-old black female named Destiny Brown. Destiny was last seen on N. Bolling Ave in Rutledge, wearing a black shirt with the word butterflies written on it in white letters and yellow shorts. Destiny is 4 feet tall with Brown eyes and black hair. If you see Destiny or have any knowledge of her location, please call 911 immediately. Thank you, and please share this post.

We are asking for assistance in locating Terry Kelley from the Highland Home area. Kelley actively has misdemeanor warrants for his arrest and is possibly in possession of his three year old son. Last seen on foot on New Ebenezer Rd. Please contact our office 334-335-4850 or E911 at 334-335-4485 with any information.

Update at 7:24 pm: Suspect in custody. Citizens are still asked to avoid the area until law enforcement processes the scene.

The CCSO along with surrounding agencies are currently attempting to execute an arrest warrant on a possible barricaded suspect near the Old Acres MHP. Citizens are asked to avoid the area until secured.

As public servants, we want to be as transparent as possible. Today at approximately 1400 hours Qudarious Peoples was taken into custody at the Crenshaw County Sheriffs Office on felony charges out of North Carolina. Due to the amount of media coverage regarding this case, we felt the public should be aware he was located and taken into custody.

Shelters will be open tonight. Also, the courthouse will open around 7:00 pm.

Tonight we ask everyone please stay weather aware. Our area has been upgraded to an enhanced risk between the predicted hours of 10:00 pm and 4:00 am. Please have a safe space prepared. We will be out assisting anyway possible, but please avoid being on the roadways.

The Crenshaw County Sheriff's Office is seeking the assistance of our citizens and surrounding counties in locating Aliahis James Dewayne Doss who was reported missing as a runaway on 04/11/2019 from the Luverne area. On 03/12/2019 Crenshaw County schools were briefly placed on soft lockdown while sweeps of the premises were made with narcotics K9s.

On March 4, 2019 at approximately 10:47am, Highland Home School was put on Lock-down by the School Resource Officer, Deputy Ed Paulk and the Principal of Highland Home School, Mr. Cliff Maddox, after a social media threat was made. Sheriff Mears, LT Robert Fulton, Deputy Beth Lisenby, and Jail Administrator, Capt. Jamie Manning quickly responded. After gathering information, the suspect was apprehended within 30 minutes in South Montgomery County. Due to the quick response of the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office, neither the students nor teachers were in any immediate danger. This incident is still under investigation by the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office.
