A decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Rec season at Luverne Park and Rec. We’re going to try our best to have a fall ball league in August. If you’ve already registered for the 2020 season you wont have to pay if you play fall ball. Also if you don’t want to play fall ball and want to play next spring and you’ve paid it will roll over till next year. If your not able to play and want a reimbursement please let me know and I’ll get the refund to you. I’m sorry that we’re not going to be able to have a 2020 season but it’s so late in the season that people had already had plans. The park is back open except for the playground and we encourage everyone to take advantage of the park and maintain the social distance. If anyone wants to use the fields they are open as well. I hope everyone enjoys the summer and keep yourself safe. If you want a refund please message us the child’s name age and what team he/she was on. Have a great day.

Coaches please get up with all your players and see how many you have that will be interesting in playing baseball/softball. The board and council has made a decision to open the park back up under some stipulation but wants to see how many kids are willing to play. Please let me know as soon as possible. This includes T Ball as well. Please let me know. Thanks

Just an update after talking with the Park Board and city and Dixie Officials please be patience with us and we’re taking all precautions to make sure everyone is safe and trust us we’re going to do everything possible to play this season. Dixie Officials are working hard to make arrangements to get the games in and still have the all star games. As for us as the City of Luverne is concern is the safety of all kids and citizens of the community we’re going to make the best decision that we can and make sure that all kids that have worked hard at practice to give them the opportunity to play the 2020 season. I’ll be glad to answer any questions that you may have but at this time it’s just a waiting game and as soon as a decision is made, I’ll let everyone know. Thanks and be safe and have a great night. God Bless.
