Good afternoon,
On Wednesday, August 5, and Wednesday, August 12, members of the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department will be conducting Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) training on District property.
Training is scheduled to take place from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on August 5 and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on August 12.
There is no safety concern for our schools or the surrounding community. This is routine training conducted by the Sheriff's Department.
The training will take place in the following areas:
The rear parking lot (bus parking) of the Primary School
The rear parking lot (bus parking) of the Intermediate School
The roadway located north of the High School, between the Intermediate and Primary Schools
Staff, parents, students, and visitors coming to the District on these dates are asked to avoid these areas while training is in progress. Kewaunee County Sheriff’s will be putting up blockades as well to signify blocked areas.
Parking will remain available in the following locations:
High School/Middle School parking lot
Front parking lot of the Intermediate School
Sports Complex parking lot
Front parking lot of the Primary School
All scheduled school activities will continue as normal. Visitors attending the Primary School Library should use the front parking lot and enter through the front entrance.
We are sharing this information in advance to explain the increased law enforcement presence on campus during these training dates. Again, there is no cause for concern.
