This morning, the Lyman Garden Club gathered for their first work project at the entrance sign on Highway 29. Volunteers spent the morning weeding the beds and planting two American beautyberry shrubs (Callicarpa americana) behind the sign.

The shrubs were intentionally placed behind the sign since they can grow up to 8 feet tall, providing seasonal beauty for traffic traveling in both directions along Highway 29.

Additional plants will be added later this fall as the seasons change. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and effort to help keep Lyman beautiful.
