More than 9,000 children have attended our camps and their lives have been transformed as a result. Our flagship camp is Camp Sizanani (Sizanani means 'to help each other' in Zulu) located in the mountains outside of Johannesburg.
Fun is essential to our camps, but equally vital is our program of life skills there kids learn to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS and to defend themselves from exploitation and abuse. With one-third of today's 15-year olds in South Africa estimated to die from AIDS, the tool is yet another critical element in the war against this terrible disease. We are making a huge difference...one child at a time.
