Today, we had the privilege of welcoming our newest member of the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Isaiah Lendley, who was officially sworn in today by Mayor Sloan Stewart.

We are excited to have Isaiah join our team and look forward to watching him grow and serve the citizens of Moore County. Please join us in congratulating Deputy Lendley and welcoming him to the Sheriff’s Office family!

Please do not fall for this nonsense….Our Courts do not call you and demand money, fines or threaten jail time. Community Partnership

Today, the Metro Moore County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Team, along with our Deputies, executed a search warrant at a residence in the northern part of the county in support of a serious felony investigation.

Upon entering the residence, Deputies encountered several Pit Bull dogs, including one that was extremely aggressive. Calls were immediately made to Friends of Animals, and without hesitation, Director Christy Eskew sprang into action to assist our officers and safely remove the animals.

Christy then reached out to Lynchburg Veterinary Hospital, and once again, their incredible staff stepped up without hesitation to provide assistance and support our mission.

We would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU to Dr. Morton and his entire team, as well as Mrs. Christy Eskew and Friends of Animals, for always going above and beyond for our community. We also want to extend a Thank You to The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Forensics Team for their support, and help with collecting evidence.

Their willingness to answer the call, support our officers, and help protect animals is truly invaluable. Partnerships like these make a tremendous difference in keeping our community safe and making Moore County a better place to live, work, and raise a family.

We appreciate you having our backs and being there when our community needs you most! 🇺🇸🐾

As students head back to the classroom, we're asking every driver to help keep Tennessee's roads safe.

🚸 Remember:
🛑 Stop and yield to pedestrians at crosswalks and intersections.
🛑 Never pass a stopped school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop arm.
🛑 Obey crossing guards.
🛑 Stay alert, children can be unpredictable near schools, neighborhoods, and bus stops.
🛑 Never pass a vehicle stopped for pedestrians.

A few extra seconds of patience can save a life. Slow down, stay focused, and help us ensure every student arrives safely to and from school.
