Just a few highlights from an amazing Habi-Hour with the Women Builders this evening! We mingled, tried our hand at some construction skills, and enjoyed some delicious treats (thank you, Elizabeth!!!).

So far we have nearly ONE HUNDRED women from our community signed up to build with us this fall and we have raised over $11,000 toward our goal of $50,000 🎉🎉🎉

This event was just the beginning. There is still time to sign up, join this amazing community of women, and help build this home!

🗓️ Habitat’s Women Build 2026 registration officially kicks off on Tuesday July 14th and you’re gonna want to get in on the ground floor!

Round up your favorite people—your coworkers, your book club, your sisters, your neighbors, your brunch crew—and form a team! Together, we’re raising $50,000 to help build a home for a local family this fall.

Think less “girls’ night out” and more girls’ day on a construction site. 💕 (Don’t worry—we’ll teach you everything you need to know.)

Another week of teamwork, community, and progress! 🏡💚

A huge thank you to the BWXT interns who spent time volunteering with us this week, and to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church for providing lunch for our crew today. We are so grateful for the groups and individuals who continue to show up, lend a hand, and help us bring another Habitat home closer to completion.

LOOKING AHEAD 👀
🌱 Because of the rain, our yard work has been delayed, and we need extra volunteers on Saturday, July 18th to help us rake, seed, and straw the yard before we hand over the keys to this home's new owner!

Help us finish strong and make sure this family has a beautiful place to call home. No special skills are needed! Just bring your willingness to work and be part of something meaningful!

Habitat opens the door to independence and opportunity!

This Fourth of July, while we're celebrating America's 250th Independence Day, we're also cheering on the families who are building their own version of independence, one nail, one wall, one dream at a time.

There is freedom in falling asleep in a safe home that you know will be yours for years to come.
In painting the walls whatever color makes you smile.
In planting roots and watching your kids play in the backyard.
In welcoming friends and family to create lifelong traditions together.

Here's to the freedom to dream of a better world...and to those with the strength to build it.

THIS WEEKEND! We have two events that some amazing partners have organized to benefit Habitat and we couldn't be more grateful!

First up is an Indoor Yard Sale at from 7-1 tomorrow morning. This sale is pay what you can and all proceeds will go to Habitat to build more homes in our community!

Once you're all shopped out and need to refuel, head to The Bagel and I at 2pm for a Slice of Hope! You'll come away with a to-go box of cake slices to enjoy and you can enter a raffle for one of SugarBlush Bakery's incredible creations!
