beautiful but cold😆

As always every job i start on here i find something interesting buried here. I was cleaning out the fireplace in the main living room to hopefully use it this winter. As i was sweeping dust/paint chips etc out of a gap along the bottom of the upper shelf this little glass trinket photo fell out. It must have been on the top shelf & fell in the crack along the back. Who knows how long ago. I'd love to figure out who it was.

Many days the difficulty of living in such a large crumbling house drives me crazy but it’s things like the sunlight coming thru the old glass windows and doing this that makes me fall in love with this place again.

After years of removing old, dead & dangerous trees I finally am planting my first tree at Lyndenwood. It was a surprise early Christmas present from a good friend (thanks babs). It’s a Plum tree & hopefully the start of a small orchard out back.
