Lolli is an energetic 7-year-old girl in Asia. While she is healthy in general, she has diagnoses of ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has a great relationship and attachment with her foster family, and for her age, speaks English surprisingly well. CHI has a video of her joyfully playing catch with her foster father and answering the social worker's question in English and Cantonese.

Lolli possesses a great rote memory and is open to guidance and instruction. Some of her ASD features includes low tolerance for loud noises, not being able to "read between the lines" of social cues, and being rule-oriented.

Now is a great time to express interest in Lolli as her psychosocial team is developing her full child study and can look into any questions a potential family may have for her while doing so. Families with a home study for any country can submit for consideration of Lolli. For more information, contact [email protected].

Maybe you remember Mel from our September 2024 post. Because children are made available to all agencies working in his country, we had hoped he had been adopted as we had not received information on him lately, but sadly Mel still waits for his family to find him. The most recent information we have is from October 2025 and we are seeking an update on how he is doing now.

Mel has diagnoses of hydrocephalus with a functioning shunt placed, post sacral myelomeningocele repair, incontinence, growth and developmental delay, structural epilepsy under treatment, and hip dysplasia. However, we can't quite say he "suffers from" all these conditions as you should see his sweet smile under that smiley face sticker! We have video of him happily waving and saying "Hola!" as well as pictures of him doing art as you see here, writing on a paper pad, and playing on the floor. A September 2025 neurological report states he states his name and age (4 at the time), greets people and smiles, has trunk control, moves by crawling and had not had a seizure since December 2024 at that time.

If you are interested in learning more about Mel and receiving any updated information we receive on him, please contact [email protected]. She is eagerly waiting for a family to adopt Mel!

Amazing!

Amazing!

Can you SEE the dots? Each one represents a child impacted by a Show Hope Adoption Aid grant our founding in 2003.

Together, they add up to more than 10,000 children who have come home to the love, security, and permanency of a family—because of your generosity.

Thank you for being part of restoring hope to so many. 🎉

Update: ALL of our children we have referred or potentially referred are safe. Please pray for those who are affected by this earthquake, for the rescuers out searching, for the ministries and people out lending a hand in any way, for the construction workers out moving rubble...for all involved.

Please join us in praying for the people of Colombia. CHI has six children either matched or pending matching in the areas affected by the earthquake. We know that the two children near Cali, one of the areas suffering a lot of destruction, are okay. We have also heard that another child between that area and Bogota is fine. We are hoping to get confirmation on the other three today, but we know one is close to the Ecuador border where there were affects, but hopefully not as devastating, and while we don't have direct information on another specific child yet, we have heard the area where she is located is overall doing okay.

Please pray for all involved and for those who will be traveling to take part in rescue efforts or who are already there.
