🚚🚓🚑 Career on Wheels Day at Adrian Elementary! 🚒🚍🚛

What an amazing morning of learning and exploration! Our students had the opportunity to meet professionals from a variety of careers and get an up-close look at the vehicles and equipment they use every day.

From public safety, transportation, healthcare, and community services, students asked thoughtful questions, explored career possibilities, and learned about the important work that helps keep our communities running.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers and community partners who took time out of their busy schedules to inspire our students and share their experiences. Your participation helped make this event a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved!

We are grateful for the support of our families, staff, and community members who helped make Career on Wheels Day a success.

Last month, Brush’s 11th-grade English classes welcomed professional actor, director, and educator Susan Stein for a five-day residency that enriched students’ study of the American classic A Raisin in the Sun. Through hands-on performance activities, students learned to analyze stage directions more closely, interpret mood and tone to strengthen both delivery and comprehension, and transform their classroom into an impromptu performance space. The experience brought the play to life and deepened students’ understanding of dramatic literature. Special thanks to the Legacy Village Foundation and the Brush High School PTSA for providing grant funding that made this experience possible.

✨ From A to Z: Kindergarteners Shine at Annual Alphabet Parade

Sunview Elementary’s five Kindergarten classes recently came together to participate in our joyful annual Alphabet Parade! Students proudly dressed in creative costumes representing assigned letters of the alphabet and paraded through the school while families, staff, and classmates cheered them on.

The event celebrated letter recognition, creativity, confidence, and the incredible growth our Kindergarteners have made throughout the school year. It was a fun-filled morning that highlighted the excitement of learning and created lasting memories for our entire school community.

🇺🇸 Today, students, and families proudly represented the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Schools at the Memorial Day Parade in the City of South Euclid!

Dr. Kaple joined our students and community members as we honored the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. From our talented student musicians to our Memorial Junior High Student Council members and volunteers, it was a wonderful morning filled with community pride, remembrance, and school spirit.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this meaningful tradition.

Our 8th-grade students recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C., filled with history, learning, and lasting memories!

Students visited Arlington National Cemetery, where they witnessed the powerful Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and paid respects at JFK’s Eternal Flame. The group explored many of our nation’s most iconic landmarks and memorials, including the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial, MLK Memorial, and the Iwo Jima Memorial.

The trip also included visits to the African American History Museum, the American History Museum, the U.S. Capitol Building, and the White House. On the journey home, students stopped at the historic Gettysburg Battlefield.

This incredible experience brought history to life and created memories our students will carry with them for years to come!
