Our July $500 grant winner is Prairie Trails Mercantile in Melvern!

Prairie Trails Mercantile is a local shop offering custom digitizing and embroidery, T-shirt printing, business promotional items, trophies and signs, along with a variety of gifts. Yesterday, I had the honor of speaking to our Board of Commissioners about the incredible momentum we’re building together.
In Osage County, we don’t just hope for a better future—we build it! ⚒️

Over the last three years, our "can-do" spirit has translated into real, tangible results:

✅ 27 new businesses welcomed to our main streets.
✅ $7.5 million in grant funding secured for our community centers, parks, libraries, and infrastructure.

These milestones aren't the finish line; they are the fuel for our momentum.
We are seeing growth in every corner of the county through our 'Vision Forward' strategy:
🏙️ Building Strong Communities
🌱 Rural Revitalization
🏗️ Recruitment Readiness

We are moving from a passive posture to an ACTIVE recruitment strategy. By positioning ourselves as a strong logistics and manufacturing corridor, we’re making Osage County a low-risk, high-reward destination for major investment that will bring local jobs and revenue growth to Osage County. 📈

🏃‍♂️ Building a stronger Osage County through Economic Development is a marathon, not a sprint. We are building a foundation that will last for generations. Growth is in motion.

My office may be a team of one, but I am never working alone. I’m working alongside every business owner, volunteer, and resident who chooses to shop locally and invest in home.
