In May 2026, a Lyndonville Police Department patrol officer received information and began an investigation into potential violations of the Vermont S*x Offender Registry as to undeclared residence. On June 10, 2026, Mark Lovejoy (47) was cited for failing to report a residence to the registry for the above period of time. Mr. Lovejoy was flash cited into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of June 15, 2026 at 1230 hours.

RE: Torch Run 2026

Continuing annual tradition, Lyndonville Police Department was pleased to participate in the 2026 Torch Run through Lyndonville. Ofc. Daniel Renaudette and Lyndon resident Elisha Buss ran the Flame of Hope through downtown Lyndon this morning, escorted by a Lyndonville police department vehicle. Special Olympics of Vermont describes the Torch Run as follows: "The Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) for Special Olympics is the movement's largest grass-roots fundraising and public awareness vehicle designed to allow members of the law enforcement community including military and first responders, the opportunity to support Special Olympics athletes who live, work and compete in their local communities.”

On June 1, 2026, a Lyndonville Police Department patrol officer stopped a motor vehicle on Broad Street for a violation observed on Depot Street. The operator, Casey Perry (37) of Sutton, was found to be operating after criminal suspension. Perry was arrested and later released on citation into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of August 24, 2026 at 0830 hours. The vehicle was hauled away by Roland's Wrecker Service.

RESIDENCE: Barton, VT

On 05-29-26 at approximately 0009 hours a Lyndonville Police Officer conducted a motor vehicle stop upon observing a motor vehicle violation. The operator, Tanner Grandfield, 34 of Barton VT, was stopped on East Street in Lyndonville. Upon investigation Grandfield was found to have operated his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Grandfield was taken into custody and later released on citation into Caledonia County Criminal Court on the charges of Criminal DLS and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Grandfield is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Court on 06-15-26 at 0830 hours to answer to the charges. The Lyndonville Police Department was assisted in this case by the Vermont State Police.

On May 21, 2026, a Lyndonville Police Department patrol officer located Dakota Allen (20) of Lyndon at a residence on Pudding Hill Road. Allen was the subject of a felony arrest warrant for Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer w/ Negligent Operation investigated by VSP - St. Johnsbury, with bail set for $500. Mr. Allen was arrested without incident and brought before the Caledonia Superior Court.

On May 15, 2026, a Lyndonville Police Department patrol officer located Christina Kittredge (45) hiding beneath a blanket in a shed behind 3678 Memorial Drive. Kittredge was the subject of an active arrest warrant out of Rutland Superior Court for Co***ne Possession. Kittredge was arrested and lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility. This was her 4th failure to appear in this case.

On May 7, 2026, the Lyndonville Police Department was notified of a 1 car collision on Memorial Drive. The vehicle, a Ford Focus, went off the road where it became disabled. After investigation, the operator was arrested for DUI ( #1) - Alcohol and Negligent Operation. He was later released to a sober party with a citation into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of May 18, 2026 at 0830 hours.
