Lyndon Electric generates, transmits, and distributes energy to a total of 13 towns in the area. Fraud Alert ‼️ We received a report that a customer had received two fraudulent phone calls. The caller stated that the customer was 2 months overdue and service would be discontinued unless they made a payment with them.

✅ Always be on alert for phone scams. Phone scams come in many forms, but they tend to make threats or ask you to pay certain ways.
✅ Do not give out sensitive information such as an account number, banking information, or personal information such as your social security number
✅ Hang up. Ask the caller their name and extension and call the office directly, with a phone number obtained from your bill or other legitimate source. Do not call a phone number provided by the caller.
✅Do not trust your caller id.

Lyndon Electric does occasionally make collection calls to customers that are overdue. The LED employee calling will ask for you by name and be able to provide account specific information such as balance due, last payment, service address, and mailing address. If you do not recognize the employee calling, hang up and call the Lyndon Electric Business Department.

**4:15 PM UPDATE: all power should be restored. If you are still experiencing an outage please call the Service Garage at (802)626-9252.

Crews have been able to determine the cause of the outage as a fallen tree breaking wires. The areas affected include; Newark, East Haven, Burke, and small portion of Kirby. Two crews have been dispatched to the area and power is expected to be restored in two hours.

**Update: 4:15PM, The substation has been reenergized and power should be restored. If you are still experiencing a power outage place contact the service garage at (802)626-9252.
Outage Update.
Impacting Burke, Newark, and East Haven.
A downed wire, broken crossarm, and tree on the line have been found. Crews have been dispatched and are working to restore power. Due to the location and nature of these issues it is estimated that power should be restored in three hours.

Storm recap: A fast moving storm ripped through the area on Thursday, July 9th leaving extensive tree and line damage. Outage calls started coming around 5pm. Line crews worked through the night and next day with the help of mutual aid team from Hardwick Electric and A&B Tree Service they were able to restore power to all customers by 3pm on Friday.

Thank you Hardwick Electric Department , your hard work in the Sheffield Square area, the Little Egypt area and the Darling Hill area is greatly appreciated by the LED team and all our customers.
