FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ELMWOOD AVE STABBING
Lynn, MA-

On May 29, 2026, at 1:32 P.M., the Lynn Police received a call for an assault and battery in the area of Bennett St and Elmwood Ave. Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was treated on scene and subsequently transported to NSMC where he is currently listed in stable but critical condition. Lynn Police Detectives along with The Massachusetts State Police are actively investigating the incident. There is currently no threat to public safety regarding this incident. During a recent proactive investigation by the Lynn Police Drug Task Force, Detectives observed an individual engage in a drug transaction. A traffic stop was conducted on that individual which led to the recovery of approximately 160 grams of co***ne, 22 grams of fentanyl, and over $4500 cash. Valuable assistance was provided by members of the 1st Division.

Our hearts are heavy as we join with the Boston Fire Department to mourn the loss of Boston Firefighter Robert "Bobby" T. Kilduff Jr. of Rescue Co. 2, who gave his life in the line of duty following a fire in Dorchester last night.
To his family, his fellow firefighters, and everyone who had the honor of knowing him: his sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his legacy will live on. We wish you strength and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
