Vote today – polls are open until 8:00 pm. More voting info at www.lynnunited.org

We're backing Ed Markey for US Senate because he is the real progressive candidate.

Just one example: back in 2018, Ed Markey joined grassroots groups to call for ICE to be abolished. At the time, his opponent Seth Moulton said that "the answer is to reform ICE." Last year, Moulton even voted for a resolution that included an expression of "gratitude" to ICE for its work "defending the homeland." In 2026, Moulton is finally calling for ICE to be abolished... now that he's running for office and that position has become politically popular.

Markey is more ready to speak up for human rights and challenge the power of corporations and oligarchs. He's more progressive and more of a leader on environmental justice, worker rights, the genocide against Palestinian people in Gaza, trans rights, and many other issues.

Yesterday Lynn United for Change joined people from Springfield, Brockton, Boston, Fall River, Worcester, and across the state to tell our state legislature: we demand RENT πŸ‘πŸ½ CONTROL πŸ‘πŸΏ NOW πŸ‘πŸ½

A lawsuit by corporate real estate interests temporarily knocked the rent control question off the ballot on a (questionable) technicality, but the fight is NOT over.

Tenants continue to get hit by outrageous rent increases that make life even more unaffordable, push people out of their homes, and harm families, classrooms, and neighborhoods.

Our state legislature could have implemented common sense rent stabilization, but they have done nothing. They could act RIGHT NOW on the local option rent stabilization bill that has been sitting in front of them for years!

We demand action to protect people and communities. Our state legislature needs to listen to the people, not corporate real estate developers and private equity funds that want to protect their ability to price gouge their way to obscene profits.

Supporters of the rent control initiative asked lawmakers to take action or said they will take it to the voters in the future.

T**A (Tenant Opportunity to Purchase) would help preserve affordable homes and prevent displacement in Lynn, Salem, & across the state. This may come up for a vote in the state senate soon; Senator Brendan Crighton & Senator Joan B. Lovely please take this chance to protect our neighbors!

T**A is one way of preventing a scenario we see again and again: long time tenants face sudden, drastic rent increases when out of town corporate landlords buy their buildings in search of huge profit. More info at https://topa4ma.org/

Tenants deserve the right to buy their own homes before speculators swoop in. That's what T**A does β€” gives tenants in multi-family buildings the chance to match an outside offer when their building goes up for sale. It's already helped preserve 16,000+ affordable homes in DC over 40 years, all while housing production kept booming there too. Preservation AND production β€” that's the model. Ask your state senator to cosponsor the T**A Amendment in the Senate's Economic Development bill. 🏠✊
