🇺🇸 A patriotic and deeply moving day in the City of Lynn. Thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s Memorial Day Ceremony. Seeing our community stand united at City Hall, served as a powerful tribute to the Fallen. We paused in deep gratitude for the lives laid down for our country. They gave their todays so we could have our tomorrows. Lynn will never forget. Let us carry their memory forward with pride and patriotism every single day. ❤️🤍💙

Despite the downpours today, our community showed up in true Swampscott fashion to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

The rain only served as a somber reminder of the true meaning of Memorial Day—We live in liberty because they gave their all. We will never forget.

Thank you to our veterans, local officials, and every single neighbor who brought their umbrellas, their families, and their deepest respect to today’s ceremony. Seeing the sea of flags along Monument Avenue and the names etched in stone on the memorials against the gray sky is a powerful testament to the enduring patriotic spirit of our Town.

Freedom isn’t free—it’s paid for by the sacrifices of the heroes resting right here in our communities. Thank you to every volunteer who stepped up and rolled up their sleeves to decorate our Veterans graves with flags. Because of your efforts, the final resting places of our fallen heroes stand proud, draped in the Red, White, and Blue. Today and every day, we remember the cost of our freedom. Never forget. 🦅

May is Older Americans Month!

May is Older Americans Month — a time to recognize the strength, resilience, and lifelong contributions of our older adults, including the veterans who have served our nation and continue to serve our communities every day.

At the Executive Office of Veterans Services, we are working every day to make Massachusetts a more welcoming and veteran-ready state for older adults — expanding access to benefits, strengthening connections to local services, supporting long-term care options, and helping veterans and their families navigate the resources they’ve earned.

We're committed to standing with you at every stage of life. If you or a loved one needs support, we’re here to help. For more information on EOVS' programs and services visit: mass.gov/vets
