It’s a fundraiser some pretty amazing friends in Edmonds started six years ago because they believe everyone deserves the opportunity to work. ❤️

It’s a night to eat, drink, laugh, listen to great music, win some stuff, and most importantly, help people with disabilities find meaningful employment in our community.

🌿 Small team. Mighty impact. 💚

A huge thank you to our friends at Heritage Bank for spending part of their annual Volunteer Day with Work Opportunities!

We didn’t need an army, just a few willing hands to help tackle some landscaping cleanup around our Lynnwood office. And this small but mighty crew showed up and got to work. 💪🌱

We love seeing businesses invest in their communities not only with dollars, but with time, talent and people willing to pitch in.

Thank you, Heritage Bank, for choosing Work Opportunities and helping make our little corner of the community look a whole lot better. We’re grateful for you! 💚

Well, this was a pretty great way to spend a Wednesday. ❤️

Today, Carrie and Marti had the honor of joining the team at Crane Aerospace & Electronics as Work Opportunities was recognized as a 2026 Crane Charitable Fund award recipient!

And this one feels extra special.

We were nominated by our former coworker Heather — someone who knows our work, believes in it, and thought enough of us to put our name forward.

How cool is that?

But Crane’s support of Work Opportunities goes well beyond this award. Their employees have shown up for us again and again — volunteering at our Gala, helping with mailings, tackling landscaping projects, and giving their time wherever an extra set of hands is needed.

It was also fun to celebrate alongside so many other organizations doing great work in our community — and even grab a photo with Lynnwood Mayor George Hurst. 😊

Today was another reminder that community support comes in so many forms. Sometimes it’s a check. Sometimes it’s pulling weeds. Sometimes it’s stuffing envelopes. And sometimes it’s simply saying, “Hey, I know an organization doing good work. You should know about them.”

It all matters.

Thank you, Crane Aerospace & Electronics, for investing in our mission and for continuing to show up for Work Opportunities and the people we serve.

And thank you, Heather, for believing in our work enough to nominate us. ❤️

More than $5,000 raised to help people with disabilities find and succeed in meaningful employment — all because a few scraps of fabric, a whole lot of talent, and an incredible community came together.

A HUGE thank you to Sarah for dreaming this up, and to Maechen , whose fabric, friendship, and story started it all. ❤️

And thank you to our Work Opportunities community AND the amazing quilting community that jumped in, shared, donated, bid, cheered this on, and made it something pretty darn special.

When our dear friend Maechen’s colorful fabric scraps found their way into the hands of her friend Sarah, something extraordinary happened.

Sarah invited an incredible community of quilters from across the country to create not one, but two stunning quilts—all to celebrate their friend and support Work Opportunities.

We were honored to spend time with the amazing team at the Alyssa Burnett Adult Life Center, sharing ideas about how we can work together to create more opportunities for people with disabilities to build meaningful careers, connections, and community.

No one organization can do this work alone. When organizations come together with a shared vision of inclusion, everyone benefits.
