๐ŸŽ‰ Brier Elementary rolls into SeaScare!

For the past 12 years, Brier Elementary has proudly participated in the City of Brierโ€™s SeaScare Parade, and this year was no exception!

Students, staff and families joined the fun with a Brier Elementary banner, walkers and some impressive riders from the Brier Unicyclers! ๐Ÿšฒ

We love seeing our schools out and about celebrating alongside their communities!

๐Ÿš” Exploring Careers in Public Safety

Three Edmonds School District students recently wrapped up four-week internships with the Lynnwood Police Department, marking the second year of this partnership through our Internship Connect program.

Funded by the Foundation for Edmonds School District, Internship Connect gives students the opportunity to earn a wage and high school credit, work with professional mentors, build career skills and access scholarships as seniors.

Interns Jeremiah, Alison, and Sophia worked alongside the Community Engagement and Crime Prevention team, helping prepare for Police Youth Camp, National Night Out and other community programs. They also had the opportunity to learn from teams throughout the department and explore the many careers within law enforcement and public safety.

Thank you to the Lynnwood Police Department and the Foundation for Edmonds School District for investing in our students and their futures! ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ”ง From STEM field trips to internships!

Four district students are wrapping up summer internships at Romac Industries in Canyon Park, marking the fourth year of this growing partnership through our Internship Connect program.

Funded by the Foundation for Edmonds School District, Internship Connect gives students the opportunity to earn a wage and high school credit, work with professional mentors, build career skills and access scholarships as seniors.

This summer, Ekansh, Hyab, Leona and Felicity, worked alongside engineering and project management professionals, participated in meetings and put classroom learning into action. For some, the experience confirmed career goals theyโ€™ve had since first touring Romac as freshmen.

By the end of the summer, all four were confidently navigating the facility and greeting employees as colleagues.

Thank you to Romac Industries and the Foundation for Edmonds School District for investing in our students and their futures! ๐Ÿ‘

Weโ€™re excited to welcome all of our new certificated staff to the Edmonds School District. ๐Ÿ‘‹

Yesterday, they began three days of orientation sessions designed to help them get familiar with our policies, processes, resources, and teaching and learning tools. Their journey in Edmonds School District is just beginning, and weโ€™re thrilled to have them join our community of educators and support staff who are dedicated to supporting every studentโ€™s success. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“šโœจ

๐Ÿ’ป Today is the last day to access district digital learning tools before the new school year!

Beginning tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 21, Clever and the district learning resources accessed through it will be temporarily unavailable as we transition our digital systems to the 2026-27 school year.

This annual process helps ensure our digital resources are updated and ready to welcome students back in September.

Thank you for your patience as we get everything ready for a great start to the new school year!
