Procession making it’s way down route 30 this evening make sure you come out and show your support.

ILLINOIS PATRIOT GUARD TRAFFIC ADVISORY TODAY
This evening (𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐱 𝟔 𝐏𝐌), there will be a military funeral procession for a 27-year-old SSG US Army Brandon Fassoth who lost his life while on active duty. The procession will be coming from O'Hare airport into Indiana, down Rt 30, and into Dyer, heading to the Calumet Park Funeral Chapel on Cleveland/Taft Street in Merrillville.

The procession will be led by multiple police, fire, and EMA agencies throughout the region once it reaches the Indiana border. Illinois Patriot Guard will be es**rting from O'Hare Airport to the Calumet Park Funeral Chapel. There will be a dignified transfer of es**rt to the Indiana Patriot Guart at the Dyer Town Hall where multiple other motorcycle clubs will join in once the procession crosses the state line.

All residents we encourage you to line the streets 𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝟓:𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐌 from the Dyer Town Hall on Rt 30 to Cleveland/Taft Street in Merrillville with flags or stand with your hand over your heart to honor this young man. Please be aware that there will be a significant presence of emergency vehicles and personnel as part of this procession.

So this is your traffic warning and answer to all the questions regarding the presence of emergency vehicles and why you cannot get into or out of Indiana.
