***MVC Rollover***

CCFD Engine 1,Pafford EMS and local law enforcement personnel responded to the area of Hwy 316 outside of Jonestown for a report of a motor vehicle collision with entrapment. Units arrived on the scene to find the subject outside the vehicle displaying non life threatening injuries. One subject was transported to a local hospital for injuries. Firefighters from Lyon responded.

***Motor Vehicle Collison w/Injuries***

Last night at approximately 22:47 CCFD and Pafford EMS personnel responded to the area of Hwy 49 N for a report of a two vehicle collision with one subject entrapped. Crews arrived on scene to find one subject displaying traumatic injuries but not entrapped. Paramedics treated the victim and transported to an area hospital. Firefighters from Lula, Lyon and Jonestown responded.

***Rescue Boat Request/ Victim Recovery***

This morning, CCFD personnel responded to Quitman County to fulfill a request for a rescue boat to assist in the ongoing search for an individual that commenced yesterday.

Search operations resumed at daybreak this morning, augmented by additional resources from various agencies, including Mississippi Game & Fish, Tallahatchie EMA and Sheriff's Department, Coahoma FD, and Crowder Fire Department. The individual was successfully located using sonar technology, and divers from the Panola Dive Team, alongside members of Mississippi Game and Fish, were able to recover the boater.

We extend our gratitude to all agencies and volunteers involved for their seamless collaboration in this operation. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family during this difficult time.

***MVC -Car Vs Tractor ***

CCFD and Pafford EMS personnel were dispatched to the vicinity of Highway 61&49 N following reports of a motor vehicle collision involving two cars and a tractor. Upon arrival, crews discovered an individual entrapped within a vehicle, exhibiting severe traumatic injuries. Firefighters extricated the victim and turned care over to awaiting Paramedics.The victim was subsequently airlifted from the scene.

Please anticipate a minor traffic delay in the vicinity of Highway 1 and Friars Point Highway 61 Road. Personnel from the CCFD are presently providing assistance to Pafford Paramedics in establishing a Landing Zone for a patient having a critical medical emergency.

OFFICIAL MEDIA RELEASE.

Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision / Mutual Aid Response.

Yesterday at approximately 16:04, the Coahoma County Fire Department (CCFD) responded to a mutual aid request from Quitman County for a motor vehicle collision involving an overturned vehicle with entrapment on Highway 6.
Upon arrival, firefighters and paramedics encountered multiple patients with life-threatening injuries. Despite rapid life-saving efforts by Paramedics, one individual was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Quitman County Coroner. CCFD personnel assisted with patient handling and coordinated the establishment of a landing zone for two air medical helicopters to facilitate rapid transport.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones affected by this tragic incident. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating.
