🚧 A little road work is coming to South Grand! Here’s what drivers need to know:

Resurfacing work will take place on South Grand Avenue from Main Street to Taylor Street over the next few weeks. Travel will be reduced to one lane in each direction while the work is underway, and drivers can expect construction activity and possible delays in the area.

Please slow down, use extra caution, and watch for workers and equipment while traveling through the work zone. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our streets!

With the expected high temperatures tomorrow, Sunday, July 26, several local churches have graciously agreed to serve as cooling centers for anyone who needs a place to escape the heat.

Thank you to Southern Star for donating bottled water to these locations to help keep our community hydrated. We also want to recognize Matt Stafford, Chris Rogers, and Cody Luck for their help coordinating this community effort.

Looking ahead to Monday, July 27, both the Library and City Hall will be open during their regular business hours and available for anyone who needs a cool place to spend time during the heat.

Please check on your neighbors, especially older adults and those who may be more vulnerable to extreme temperatures. Stay hydrated, limit time outdoors during the hottest parts of the day, and stay safe!
