💜 One Kit. One Chance. One Life Saved.

Opioid overdoses continue to affect families and communities across our state
and nation. They can happen anywhere—to a loved one, a friend, a coworker,
or even a stranger in need. In an overdose emergency, every second counts.

The Rice County Health Department is proud to offer FREE Overdose
Response Kits to members of our community.

Each kit contains naloxone (Narcan®), a medication that can temporarily
reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and provide precious time until
emergency responders arrive. The kits are easy to use, and no medical
experience is required.

Just as many people keep a first aid kit or fire extinguisher at home, carrying
an overdose response kit is another way to be prepared for an emergency you
never expect to face.

If you witness someone who may be experiencing an overdose:
🚨 Call 911 immediately.
💜 Administer naloxone if available.
💜 Stay with the person until emergency responders arrive.

You never know whose life you may save.

Stop by the Rice County Health Department to pick up your FREE Overdose
Response Kit and learn how to use it. Together, we can help prevent overdose
deaths and build a healthier, safer community.
