We have changed this FB page title to reflect the group it represents. The North Pole Fire and Rescue group is focused on supporting our community in fire service and beyond. Although our private group is associated with the Lyons Fire Department, it is privately funded and operated separate from the city and county fire department. Please continue to follow and support us on our mission of community service.

Merry Christmas to all. This was the 13th year we got to help Santa deliver gifts to some special kids. Lucky 13 had Mrs. Claus joining us as well this year. We are blessed by our community to get to serve in so many different ways.

LFD and NPFR

Lyons Fire Department is a volunteer department serving Lyons and surrounding areas in Rice County. Within this group is the non-profit organization North Pole Fire and Rescue. NPFR is devoted to serving the needs in our community in various ways. We adopt families each year that are in need of providing a perfect Christmas experience. We have provided blankets to the two assisted living centers and the hospital’s swing-bed unit. We have helped with medications and bills for the elderly on fixed incomes. We have volunteered in the schools for fire education as well as promoting community service.
