We currently have about 30 fiber customers without service in the Lothair Church Rd area in Soperton. The fiber outage began last night around 8:00 when someone struck a pole and knocked off the fiber and equipment. The fiber was then cut by some farm equipment and service was lost. Crews are working this morning to repair the damage and resplice the fiber. We expect to have all service restored by 2:00 PM today.

⚠️ Fiber Network Upgrade Notice ⚠️

As Altamaha Fiber continues to grow, we are in the process of quadrupling our network capacity to better serve our customers and support future demand.

Beginning tonight at 12:00 a.m., our team will be performing equipment upgrades. Customers located from Soperton to East Dublin should expect service interruptions lasting approximately 1 to 4 hours. Customers in other areas may experience brief intermittent outages during this maintenance period.

Similar upgrade work is scheduled for the next two nights during the same overnight hours.

These improvements are an important part of expanding our network and providing the reliable, high-speed service our customers expect. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue investing in the future of Altamaha Fiber.
