This mural is painted on the wall inside our small fire department. It was done by several of our local high school students after the September 11th attacks. It's there to remind us to never forget.

So happy to see her recovered and on her feet!

On October 29, 2021 Colton Fire along with many mutual aid departments were dispatched for a structure fire in Colton with person trapped. We were able to rescue the young lady and she has made a wonderful recovery. Tonight we were able to meet and talk with her and her family.
Tonight members of the Colton, Lyons and Minnehaha County Fire Chiefs Association presented her a check for some of her medical bills. The check was provided by the Minnehaha County Fire Chiefs burn fund.
To say that we are all great full for her recovery is an understatement.
