DEA presence will remain in and around the park. Today, another drug criminal was intercepted. If you line your pockets by peddling drugs to vulnerable communities, you will be stopped and held accountable. A Culver City, man representing himself as employee of PATH, a nonprofit organization, was arrested today on a federal criminal complaint charging him with possessing fentanyl when police pulled him over while he drove a BMW near MacArthur Park earlier this month. Christopher Barret Johnson, 42, is charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

What a way to wrap up the school year! DEA LA Division’s Honolulu District Office personnel participated in Career Day at Kahalu’u Elementary School, in Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii. DEA personnel, engaging with 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade students, stressed the importance living a healthy lifestyle and making good choices. Kids were treated to inside look at the DEA world, from day-to-day operations, overseas assignments, to military preparedness. Students were able to hold a shield and gear up with tactical vests and helmets. DEA group supervisors discussed the importance of teamwork, collaborative communication, reading, and writing.
