Local businesses, community leaders, and residents are encouraged to attend, share ideas, build connections, and be part of the conversation about strengthening our workforce and supporting Baker County’s continued growth.

Don't forget about the Disaster Preparedness Expo Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Glen Baptist Church from 10:00 AM- 3:00 PM!

Disaster Preparedness Expo

At Glen Baptist Church for a community event focused on preparing, responding, and recovering from disasters.

BCSO Emergency Management is partnering with COAD, LTRC, Jewish Family and Community Services, Red Cross, National Weather Service, and Glen Baptist Church, along with Baker County Fire/Rescue, Macclenny Fire/Rescue, and the Florida Department of Emergency Management.

There will be a large demonstration of emergency and disaster response equipment that you can see and interact with, including fire trucks, rescue boats, disaster command centers, ATVs/UTVs, and more!

There will be a giveaway of 100 buckets/bags of preparedness items while supplies last. Local agencies will be available to provide information, resources, and assistance to help you and your family be better prepared.

Come out, learn more, meet local emergency response partners, and get prepared!

A special thank you to Doreen Lund with CareerSource for joining us and sharing valuable information about workforce development, available resources for local employers, and the programs CareerSource offers to help businesses recruit, train, and retain employees.

Workforce development is critical to the continued success of our local businesses and the growth of Baker County. Events like the Baker Business Social give our members an opportunity to make connections, learn about valuable resources, and stay informed about issues affecting our business community.
