We want to inform our community that an outside party may have attempted to send emails by forging a City of Macclenny internal email address. This practice, known as email spoofing, involves forging a sender's address to make an email appear to be from a trusted source. It is often used in phishing attacks to trick recipients into revealing sensitive information or clicking malicious links.

Please do not open these emails. The City of Macclenny will never send emails with links requiring you to enter your email address or password to access a file or document.

If you are ever in doubt regarding the legitimacy of an email, please call the City of Macclenny during normal business hours at 904-259-6261.

The National Weather Service is predicting record cold temperatures and single digit wind chills for our area. You should expect the following conditions in our area:

- Freezing temperatures with frost possible through Tuesday night.

- Life-threatening wind chills in the single digits Saturday evening through Sunday.

Remember to protect People, Pets, Plants, Water Pipes, and to Practice Safe Heating.

Public Notice

All outdoor burning remains prohibited in Baker County, including the use of fireworks.

Current conditions continue to present an elevated fire risk, and these restrictions are necessary to protect public safety, property, and natural resources.
Residents are asked to comply with all burn ban guidelines until the ban is officially lifted.

Baker County Fire Rescue, in coordination with the Florida Forest Service, will continue to monitor conditions and will provide updates as conditions change.

In celebration of Christmas all Meridian Waste facilities will be closed on Thursday, December 25th. As a result, Thursday and Friday customers will have their collection services delayed by one day. Thursday’s garbage pickup will be on Friday and Friday will be Saturday.

Annual Christmas Festival and Lighted Parade

Don't forget this Saturday, December 13th will be our annual Christmas festival and lighted parade. The all day event will feature lots of arts, crafts, food, entertainment, and a lighted parade! The event will start with morning road closures to the downtown area at 6:00 AM. This will include US-90 from 121 to 3rd St. to the East. North and South 5th St., North and South 4th St., and College St. will all be closed until 9 PM. Starting at 5:00 PM, US-90 West from 121 to Lowder St. will be closed for the parade along with North 7th St., MLK Dr. South, and West Blvd. North. Parade Line up will begin at 5:00 PM on US-90 and 8th St. with the parade starting at 6:00 PM weather permitting, the parade will travel East to 2nd St. by the courthouse with Santa stopping at City Hall to exit the fire truck at the Christmas Tree. As a reminder to parade entries, NO candy or other items are allowed to be thrown from any float or vehicle for safety reasons, If you have any items to disburse it must be done by walkers.

Annual Christmas Festival and Lighted Parade
