On Tuesday morning, Mr. Eckenrode received a OHSAA Sportsmanship Report from the State. We are thrilled to report he received this for the “excellent sportsmanship and positive behavior towards Officials” at the Boys Baseball game on Monday. Mr. Eckenrode and Ms. Archer called them down to personally thank Coach Riley and our boys baseball team for outstanding representation of Nordonia!!

The Nordonia High School Girls Flag Football team was live this morning on Fox 8 after winning the inaugural Girls Flag Football State Championship. Congratulations to our student-athletes, coaches, and staff on representing Nordonia Hills City Schools in a first-class way. Thank you to Fox 8 for recognizing this accomplishment and helping showcase our students and program to Northeast Ohio.

As we head into summer break, we want to take a moment to remind families and students about the importance of e-bike and bicycle safety within our community.

• Following all traffic laws and signals
• Wearing helmets and appropriate safety gear
• Riding responsibly and staying alert
• Avoiding distractions such as phones or headphones while riding
• Respecting drivers, pedestrians, and neighboring properties
• Understanding that e-bikes are powerful motorized vehicles that require maturity and responsible decision-making

With warmer weather and more time outdoors ahead, we encourage families to continue these conversations at home. Working together, we can help ensure all of our students stay safe while enjoying their summer.
