Introducing our latest addition, “Brush-Engine 41” which replaces a 25 year old apparatus and will be based at Firehouse 1 in Macks Creek. The unit was made possible thanks to the Missouri Dept. of Conservation and funding from 2025’s tax incentive approved by the voters to update and improve District equipment.

Successful swift water rescue of two occupants!

On Monday May 18th crews were dispatched to to the area of Roy Willis ln. Initial reports stated a truck had tried to cross a flooded creek and was flipped, unknown if driver and passenger were still inside. Crews immediately went en route and requested mutual aid from Mid-County Fire Protection District for their water rescue team. Upon arrival crews found very fast and deep water with one pickup truck on its side and two occupants out of the vehicle and in the water. With assistance also from Camden County MO Sheriff's Office one occupant was assisted to shallower water and to the care of Mercy EMS. The other occupant was successfully rescued from the swift waters by rescue and swift water maneuvers by the crews on scene and transferred to the care of EMS.

We would like to remind our community of the extreme dangers fast water can cause. Please never try to cross any flooded creeks or rivers. TURN AROUND DON’T DROWN

Heavy rainfall is expected to last a good portion of the day today. With this rain comes an increased risk of flash flooding and we are under a flood watch until 7:00 p.m. Do not try to drive through water over roadways, turn around don't drown!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! Especially to the mothers we have on our department serving our community and being awesome at their homes as well. We appreciate all the mothers in our community and beyond as they are what makes this world so great!
