🍎 Meet Mrs. Sam! 🩵❤️

We are so lucky to have Mrs. Sam as part of our Beck team! Mrs. Sam is one of our amazing speech therapists and is starting her 4th year at Beck and her 14th year as a speech therapist!

She loves helping our students learn, grow, and communicate with confidence. When she’s not at Beck, you might find her reading, doing puzzles, spending time with her family, enjoying some coffee ☕, or working on an art project!

We are so happy you’re here, Mrs. Sam! ❤️🩵🐾

Support Beck Centennial and the Beck Family Volunteers with our first fundraiser of the year! 🌼 We are selling beautiful fall mums for $13 each, with six colors to choose from. Orders are due by September 11, and mums can be picked up at Beck on September 17 from 2–4 PM. Thank you for helping support our Beck kids and school! ❤️🩵

This week, our Vikings participated in PBIS rotations throughout the building, learning the expected behaviors for different areas of our school and what it looks like to do things The Viking Way!

We wrapped it all up with a fun assembly featuring videos of the RIGHT way…and the WRONG way 😂 to show expected behaviors!

Students also got to know ALL of our Beck staff members, reinforcing an important message: every adult in our building is here to help our Vikings make good choices! ❤️

And of course, we ended with some laughs as students played “Guess the Staff Member” hiding inside inflatable costumes! 🤣

A great start to a safe, respectful, and responsible school year! ❤️💙

Day 2 of lunchtime is in the books, and we are getting there! 🙌 Each day, our Vikings are learning the routines, figuring out the flow, and getting a little quicker and more independent. Pretty soon, we’ll be in a groove! ❤️

A HUGE shoutout to our amazing Lunch Moms who keep everything moving with patience, smiles, helping hands… and some pretty great merch!

After all, “I’m not yelling, I’m a Lunch Lady — that’s how we talk!” 🤣

It’s all in good fun and we are so thankful for this sweet, loving, helpful crew and everything they do to make lunchtime a happy, safe place for our Vikings! ❤️

Once a Viking, ALWAYS a Viking!

We are incredibly proud of Beck alum, Henry Sifton, who chose to give back to his former elementary school for his Eagle Scout project! 🌟

Henry’s project made a lasting impact at Beck in more ways than one! He:

🧱 Carefully relocated the dedicated brick pavers from our courtyard (location of our 2nd playground ) giving these special pieces of Beck history a new home around our flagpole and along the edging of our garden.

⚽ Raised money to purchase new outdoor recess equipment for EVERY classroom at Beck!

💙 And as if that wasn’t enough… Henry donated all of the remaining funds to our Beck Family Volunteers (BFV) to continue supporting our students and school!

What an incredible example of leadership, service, and giving back to the community that helped you grow. Henry, we are so proud to call you a Beck Viking Alum! 🥹❤️💙

Congratulations on completing such a meaningful Eagle Scout project, Henry — your impact will be felt at Beck for years to come! 🦅🛡️

🎉 MEET THE TEACHER — MS. CASEY FARR! 🎉

We are so excited to welcome Ms. Casey Farr back to Beck for another wonderful year! ❤️🩵

Ms. Farr brings 20 years of experience in Utica Community Schools, and her heart is truly in Early Childhood. She is passionate about building a strong foundation for our youngest learners and making their first school experiences positive, exciting, and full of growth! 🌱✨

When she’s not at Beck, Ms. Farr loves spending time with her family, being outdoors, playing sports and games, and cooking for family and friends. And if you want to make her day, a Starbucks Dragon Drink, gummy bears, or a trip to Target might do the trick! 😉💜

We are so lucky to have Ms. Farr helping our Young 5’s learn, grow, and LOVE school! 🍎✏️

Meet Mrs. Bauer, our Speech-Language Pathologist!

Mrs. Bauer is beginning her 26th year with Utica Community Schools and brings a wealth of experience supporting students from preschool through 6th grade. She works with students in many areas of communication and is an important part of helping our Beck students grow, connect, and find their voices! ✨

Outside of school, Mrs. Bauer enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing, dark chocolate and coffee, working out, and of course, her French Bulldogs! 🐾☕️

We are so happy to have Mrs. Bauer supporting our students and families at Beck! Please help us give her a warm Beck welcome!
