Thank you Colchester Fire Protection District for the initial CPR Training and recertifications for all of us! We are so grateful to have great relationships with not only Colchester Fire Protection District but all Fire Protection Districts! Thanks for all you do, Fire Friends!!! We appreciate you!

We are incredibly thankful for the continued trust that the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office and the Macomb McDonough County 911 Center places in the Colchester Fire Protection District for their annual CPR recertification training. Partnerships like this strengthen our community and ensure that those who serve and protect are prepared to respond when seconds matter most.

Hector takes on EMS Week! Hector got the pleasure of hanging out with some of our EMS crew and seeing how they do things over there. They are getting spoiled this week since it’s EMS Week, and Hector says they deserve it! Hector learned all about what they do and how they treat patients. And learned even quicker he wouldn’t have the stomach to do their job!! He is so grateful we have a great group of people that do it- so he doesn’t have to.🤪

Hector went out with the Macomb Police Department this morning to run some radar and learn the rules of the road! Hector said he knows it’s easy to drive like Speedy Gonzales, but we have to go the speed limit. Especially in school zones!!! Hector learned that we have to stop for school buses so the kiddos can get off safely and get home. He also learned about Scott’s Law- which helps our officers stay safe and Hector is all for that! Hector wants to remind everyone to drive safely and slow down or pull over if you see emergency lights! You never know if Hector is going to catch you speeding!!

Hector goes to school! Hector got to go with SRO Burnham last week to West Prairie to see what that school thing is all about. And here’s some of the highlights! Hector loved gym time and being able to let off some energy. But honestly- Hector’s favorite time of the day was lunch! Hector got to see classrooms and offices and even gave a speech. SRO Burnham gave him an A+ for the day! Since he did so well, he even got to make a lap through town and stopped to see our friends at the Full Scoop and The Shop! What a busy day for Hector! Thank you SRO Burnham for the field trip!! Hector says “Stay in school, kiddos! You need an edumacation or whatever it’s called.”
