This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Emmet – Chalmers Firefighters want to recognize and say THANK YOU to the great dispatchers we depend on at the Macomb/McDonough County Communications Center.

Public Safety Dispatchers are an important part of emergency services; when there is an emergency, it all begins with them.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and celebrated annually, honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.
