ILETSB Executive Institute Our organization develops the values and competencies that are the institution of public service.

The ILETSB Executive Institute, located on the campus of Western Illinois University since 1992, is dedicated to cultivating exceptional leadership, professional growth, and organizational excellence within the Illinois law enforcement community. The ILETSBEI addresses the numerous challenges that today’s law enforcement administrators face and those that will emerge as important issues during the course of the next decade and beyond. Clients of the ILETSB Executive Institute are high-performing supervisors, managers and executives who are committed to promoting professionalism in policing. Following the ILETSB mission, the Executive Institute conducts research and evaluation needed to develop and improve law enforcement standards and training based on objective knowledge and the performance needs required. Earlier this week, Director Hotz traveled to Canada to co-present at the CIT International Conference alongside John Williams, IL Regional CIT Coordinator, and John Keigher, ILETSB Chief Legal Counsel. Williams and Keigher shared insights on Illinois' statewide CIT programs, while Hotz highlighted the ILETSB Executive Institute's leadership development and training initiatives. Last Thursday, we partnered with SILEC to bring Alan Eagle and Dr. Eric Potterat to Fairview Heights for Learned Excellence, an impactful program focused on resilience, confidence, focus, and peak performance under pressure.

This week, we kicked off a three-day Intentional Leadership program with internationally recognized leadership expert Dean Crisp, bringing together law enforcement leaders from across Illinois to strengthen leadership and organizational impact.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today for the First Responder Appreciation Brunch at the WIU University Union. It was wonderful to connect with so many members of our first responder community and show our appreciation for all that you do. Thank you to WIU Law Enforcement and Justice Administration for co-hosting the event with us!

A special thank you to the Macomb IL Fire Department Macomb Firefighters Local 3053 for bringing an extraordinary display in recognition of the 25th anniversary of 9/11. As part of the National 9/11 Freedom Flag Raising Call to Action, Macomb Fire recently received a Freedom Flag, a World Trade Center steel artifact recovered from Ground Zero, and educational materials commemorating the events of September 11, 2001. Attendees had the opportunity to view these meaningful artifacts and reflect on the sacrifices, service, and resilience that continue to define our nation and our first responder community.
