"Hi everyone! My name is Kristen Clay, and I live in La Plata, Missouri. I previously lived on Scott AFB, where I worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional for 3 years before moving back closer to family here in Missouri. I’ve been married to my husband, Tyler, for 12 years, and we have three boys—Keegan (11), Lawrence (9), and Chayton (7)—who will be attending La Plata Elementary School. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, which usually means baseball, fishing, hunting, and enjoying the outdoors."

"My name is Heidi Swan. We recently moved to the Macon area this April. We previously lived in Macomb, Il where I worked as a paraprofessional in the junior high and high school behavioral program. I have been married to my husband Herschel for 33 years. We have one son. I love being outdoors in my free time and spending time with my family and our yellow lab. I am so excited to be part of the Macon Tiger team and look forward to my position in the SOAR program!"

"Hello! My name is Evie Gottman, and I am so excited to be returning to Macon R-1! I previously worked at Macon R-1 as a paraprofessional and special education teacher from 2020–2023. After that, I spent two years teaching special education at Renick R-V before having the opportunity to return to Macon. My husband, Quinn, and I have a daughter, Ida Mae, who definitely keeps us busy! In my free time, I enjoy embroidering, reading, and spending time with my family."
