A great evening for some hands on!

Callao Fire Dist. Gave us the opportunity to work with them on some Extrication training.
Using different styles of tools, we spent a few hours discussing safe measures and ways to manipulate vehicle structures to safely remove trapped individuals during an accident.
When seconds count, surrounding departments depend on each other to effectively and safely rescue patients and get them to immediate care.

Thank you Callao Fire for spending an evening with us!

A Big Thank You to Still Towing for the use of their facility and providing vehicles to train with!

On march 15, 2025 at approximately 14:08 hrs. Macon County Rescue Squad was dispatched to a one vehicle accident on US Highway 36, near New Cambria, Missouri.
When arriving on scene, we found a commercial vehicle had exited the roadway and crashed into a ditch on the south side of the road. In coordinating with other agencies on scene, we were able to effectively and safely remove one patient from the vehicle so EMS could assess them for transport.
As the warmer days approach, we would like to remind everyone to stay vigilant, buckle up, and most importantly, BE SAFE!
as usual, a big pat, on the back to the other agencies that we get to work with daily within Macon county. We are proud to work with them, and we are happy to have such involved people to keep our communities safe and covered.
