You can support OMA through our store, membership, or donations. OMNHP is a prehistoric American Indian site. American Indians first came here during the Paleo-Indian period hunting Ice Age mammals. Many different American Indian cultures occupied this land for thousands o

f years. Around 900 CE, the Mississippian Period began. They constructed mounds for their elite, which remain today.

Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park is hiring a seasonal Park Guide to support the Interpretation, Education and Visitor Services team. They are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join the team and support summer programming and events.

This position overlaps with exciting events happening over the summer and early fall, including the annual Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration. Park housing may be available.

Looking for a unique and meaningful way to give back? Join our team and help connect visitors to the rich history and culture of this special place.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
•Provide a meaningful and educational experience for visitors, helping them understand the significance of Ocmulgee’s story
•Assist park staff by offering helpful information and services
•Welcome guests and support daily Visitor Center operations
