🐾🌟 Student Action Teams in Action! 🌟🐾

Before heading into Fall Break, our students participated in Student Action Teams, putting leadership into action across our school! Inspired by Covey's Habits 7 & 8, Sharpen the Saw and Find Your Voice and Inspire Others to Find Theirs, students worked together to make a positive impact while developing their leadership skills.

And, of course, we couldn't end the day without sneaking in a special Happy Birthday celebration for Ms. Granville! 🎉🎂

We are proud of our student leaders for using their voices, collaborating with others, and making Porter an even better place to learn and grow.

🍂 Enjoy your Fall Break, Porter Panthers! We look forward to seeing everyone back refreshed and ready to learn. 💙🐾

👯💙 Twin Day was a success at Porter! 💙👯

As part of our October Dollar Days, we caught these amazing twins showing off their school spirit! From matching outfits to coordinated styles, our Porter Panthers had fun participating while supporting our school.

Every Dollar Days event helps raise funds for PBIS initiatives, allowing us to recognize positive behaviors, celebrate student success, and provide meaningful incentives for our students throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped support our Panthers! 🐾

🌎💃🎉 This week concluded our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations at Porter! 🎉💃🌎

A special thank you to Rivera’s Mexican Restaurant for providing a delicious lunch for our staff on Friday! Our students showcased their leadership and creativity by creating Hispanic Heritage decorations during Spanish specials, and families contributed cultural dishes for students to sample and learn more about Hispanic traditions and cuisine.

Enjoy more photos from our schoolwide celebration as we honored the rich cultures, contributions, and traditions of the Hispanic community! 💙🐾 Superintendent Dr. Dan A. Sims

We would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. Perez and his amazing team (Mrs. Hogan, Mrs. Hall, our Culture Action Team, and Mrs. Simmons and Mrs. Lopez who created the beautiful decorations) for coordinating such wonderful Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations for our students!

These experiences gave our students an opportunity to celebrate Hispanic culture, traditions, food, music, and dance while learning about and appreciating the rich diversity within our school community.
