Looking for a native plant that offers a pop of color? Check out this Closed Bottle Gentian plant found in a garden here in Lower Macungie. This is a late blooming plant where the flowers never open and provides nectar for strong bumblebees that muscle their way into the blooms.

Seeing a Bald Eagle in the wild is always a treat... and seeing one perched on the roof of your neighbor's house in Lower Macungie is even better! This majestic eagle was spotted on Monday and spent time surveying the neighborhood while neighbors looked on. Have you seen any bald eagles near your home?

This handsome male Northern Cardinal stopped by for a snack of sunflower seeds at this window bird feeder. Their heavy, cone shaped beaks are perfect for cracking open tough sunflower seeds.
