There is a reason behind why we don’t work today, why there’s no school today. A reason why we get to bbq or relax or go have fun in the sun. That reason deserves respect and honor. So today no matter what your doing take a second and remember someone served your country and quite possibly died for today. Teach your children the importance of today.

You “MAY” not know it but the second Saturday in MAY for years has been the National Stamp Out Hunger day. It used to be a big important day. Over the past few years it has dwindled down to almost nothing. No advertisement, No real donations.
We know times are so hard for a lot of us right now. Think for a second “what would you or your family member do if the food bank wasn’t here”
This Saturday if it’s in your heart please set a bag or box of non perishable food items. That will come straight to the Madera County Food Bank and then go right into a families home that is in need right here in our neighborhood. We need help to be able to help so many.

THANK YOU TO THE MEN AT THE RESCUE MISSION!!!

Yesterday, our men joined the Madera County Food Bank to prepare almost 800 boxes for families across our community. This is what transformation looks like — hands that once needed support now lifting others up.

We are honored to help the students of Madera Community College, we want these students to stay focused and know they are supported in their drive to achieve an education and not have to be burdened by the worry of food insecurity.

Great news! Maddie’s Food Pantry can now distribute meat, eggs, and dairy products. 🥚🥛

This milestone follows several years of work, including facility improvements, new flooring, equipment installation, and meeting environmental health requirements. This upgrade expands access to protein and fresh items, strengthening our efforts to reduce food insecurity and support student success.

Thanks to the Madera County Food Bank, we were able to start right away with nearly 5,000 eggs and a variety of dairy products, and students have already shared how much they appreciate it.

Please help us spread the word and let students know about this new opportunity!

The Madera County Food Bank is holding a focus group for MediCal members on January 23rd and we are in need of 3 MALE, English Speaking individuals to participate.
Each participant will receive a $75 Visa Gift Card.
