🚧 Big news for Madera County transportation!

Ground has officially broken on the expansion of State Route 41, a major investment in improving safety, reducing congestion, and supporting continued growth in the region. The project will widen the highway to four lanes between Avenue 10 and Avenue 15 and includes key upgrades like a new bridge and improved intersections.

At MCTC, we’re excited to see projects like this move forward—strengthening regional connectivity, enhancing mobility, and supporting economic development across the Central Valley. 🚗

The Madera County Transportation Commission is saddened by the passing of former Madera County Supervisor and MCTC Policy Board Member and Chair Max Rodriguez. Supervisor Rodriguez dedicated his life to public service, serving Madera County with distinction as District 4 Supervisor and as a member of the MCTC Policy Board. Throughout his years of service, he provided thoughtful leadership, strong guidance, and unwavering support for transportation planning. Following his time on the Board of Supervisors, he continued his service to the community as a member of the Measure T Citizens' Oversight Committee. He will be remembered not only for his leadership and commitment to public service, but also for the kindness, integrity, and care he showed to others. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
