Our department is also responsible for enforcing all state and local health laws. Some of our services and programs include Emergency Preparedness, Communicable Disease Control, HIV/AIDS surveillance and supportive services, senior citizens preven

🌱 Planting seeds and growing healthy habits!
Children had the opportunity to plant vegetable seeds while learning about gardening through a collaboration between the Madera County Library and CalFresh Healthy Living at the Madera County Department of Public Health. Gardening is a fun, hands-on way to help kids learn where food comes from and encourage healthy eating habits that can last a lifetime.

Los niños tuvieron la oportunidad de sembrar semillas de verduras mientras aprendían sobre jardinería gracias a una colaboración entre la Biblioteca del Condado de Madera y CalFresh Healthy Living del Departamento de Salud Pública del Condado de Madera. La jardinería es una actividad práctica y divertida que ayuda a los niños a aprender de dónde vienen los alimentos y fomenta hábitos de alimentación saludables que pueden durar toda la vida.
