Amherst Education Center Welcome to Amherst Education Center! AEC meets the needs of at-risk students of Amherst in grade eight through twelve, including GED.

We work to reduce discipline referrals and improve school attendance and overall academic performance.

Calling all future heroes! 🚨

The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for an action-packed First Responder Camp this summer for rising 4th–11th graders! Campers will step behind the caution tape and experience hands-on activities like fingerprint lifting, fire safety, defensive tactics, DUI goggles courses, field trips, and more. 🚓

📅 July 20–24 (Rising 7–11 graders)
📅 July 27–31 (Rising 4–6 graders)
⏰ Monday–Friday | 9 AM–3 PM
📍 Amherst County Sheriff’s Office

đź’˛ Camp fee is just $30 and includes all activities, field trips, lunches, and snacks!
