Madison Housing/Lakeview Tower office will now be closed Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, starting Monday, September 23, 2024. The window will open 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM daily and closed on Saturday and Sunday. Any contact needed with office staff will be during the time the window is open.

Applications for Section 8 Voucher and Public Housing is located in the front entry cubby boxes on the wall. If you are needing to turn in requested paperwork or an application, there is a drop box located in the front entry that we check daily, otherwise you will need to come between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

Lakeview Tower is a low-income family-based community centrally located in Madison South Dakota, just a hop! skip! and a jump! from downtown, shopping areas, and Dakota State University. We've been going through some major changes throughout the building of updating in the last few years. We have one bedroom and efficiency units available that have been updated and are ready for someone to move into!! We have onsite laundry facility, community room, private and off-street parking, access to city bus transportation, yard that looks like a park, after hours Maintenance staff, elevator access to all floors, security cameras throughout the building, and locked doors after business hours. Come on into the office or give us a call for an application!

MHRC is currently taking applications for a newly remodeled, fully HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE, 2-bedroom, 1 bath Townhome. This unit is ADA compliant. Flooring throughout the unit is LVP, no carpet. Kitchen has new cabinets; with pull out section in lower cabinets, countertops, sink, dishwasher, and extended accessible prep area. New ceiling fan in Dining area. Bathroom has new accessible shower, toilet, and sink, along with plenty of room to maneuver a wheelchair. This unit is a one level with laundry hookups, a garage, accessible parking, and kitchen appliances. Monthly rent is $800, $800 Security Deposit, and tenant is responsible for all utilities. No pets.
